Latest CARE Project!
Over the summer, CARE Leicester painted some rooms at the Winslow Ave. location of LHS. More vocational programs and some of the administration are moving there.
Congratulations to Leicester Public Schools for bringing new vocational programs to our students!
Clean the Clinic
Leicester High School has set up a clinic for the new Certified Nursing Assistant Program. The School Nurse, Diane Moffat, has been working all summer to get ready for her students. Thanks to CARE volunteers, the area has been cleaned, and painted. The hospital beds and other furnishings are in place!
Tools for Schools
The new Building and Property Maintenance courses will be held in the back of the Winslow Ave. building. The state will be inspecting the facility on September 8, and the school department is waiting for grant funding to be able to purchase large tools and equipment.
CARE collected some tools, ladders, and an air compressor for the program to help them get started! KM Kelly donated eight ladders!
Moving Madness
The Leicester High School football team helped move hospital beds from the old Winslow Ave. school to the new high school. Thanks to Liberty Movers for supplying the truck!
